Sun Apr 12 2009
Saguaro Tackle and Archery in Tucson Arizona sponsors a fishing tournament for southern Arizona. This year the 2009 Border Battle will be held at Patagonia Lake as well as one month (June) at San Carlos Lake. Once a month join the other fishermen at this exciting and competitive tournament. The 2009 Saguaro Tackle fishing tournament dates are; March 21, April 4th, May 2nd, June 13 (at San Carlos), July (To be announced), August 15 and October 24.

Day Tournament hours are from Safelight in the morning to 1:00 pm. Night Tournament hours are 5:00pm to 11:00pm. They run the tournament with 90% payback with 10% allocated for the Championship Tournament. Tournament Options are $75 basic entry, $50 big fish and $5 goon fish. This means it's $75 to enter the tournament. The top 5 fish will win the tournament and another $50 to compete for the big fish. $5 goon fish means a contest for the biggest non-bass fish. The tournament is 25 boats total, 10 boats minimum. IF you have questions, call Jesse at 745-0003

All tournaments are held at Patagonia Lake and are limited to a field of 35 teams. Each team weighs in their biggest bass. The cost is $30 per team with an 80% payback and a goon fish option for $5 with 100% payback. You do not need to be a professional fisherman to fish our tournaments. They are designed so that all ages can participate. We keep a point roster and at the end of the season award an Anler-of-the-Year and a Jr. Angler-of-the-Year. Please call us at 520-745-0003 for more information. Sign-up needs to be done prior to tournament.
